November 1, 2008 – Boot Camp

Four months down and it feels like so much longer but I guess that is the nature of things we do not want to go through.  Time seems to slow down, problems appear to be much larger than tye really are, joy begins to fade and things like pride, fear and resentment beg to be understood before they consume us… So understand them I will (with a little help from my friends)!

At least that is the idea behind a Bible/life study that I started last night with some great guys (Imaging that here? Who are fast becoming great friends (David, Jim & Scott). It started with some quotes I copied out of a book I was reading (Attached pdf image) that has been copied & recopied dozens of times here.  Some guys sent copies home and their familyi/friends have made copies for their friends/chruch etc…

Right now our little group is working hard to understand how our pride has hurt us in the past, contributed to the reasons why we aer here and could cripple us in the future if we don’t learn how to surrender this part of our lives to our God.

Then we get to tackle fear, resentment & long standing habits.  So it is probably going to be a while before it seems like time is flying.
